I am a senior studying Information Science and Digital Studies. I have an interest in UX/UI Design and application development. In tech, one of my favorite things would have to be AI. I enjoy learning how we can use AI as a tool and also how models are developed. I took LIS 500 so I can better understand how topics such as race and gender are represented which I believe is a crucial part of the development process.

Interests

  • Information Science : I've taken a few machine learning classes and it was very interesting to see the backend of developing models but also how they are used in everyday life and even how they can affect people.
  • Traveling : I enjoy traveling. The most recent place I traveled to is Morocco and Vancouver.
  • Gym : I enjoy going to the gym and swimming. I am on UW's swim club
  • Movies: I like to watch movies and my favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I'm graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2026 with degrees in Economics, Information Science and a certificate in Business Spanish. I have an interest in pursuing a career in analytics. When I think about technology, one of my favorite things I enjoy learning more about is virtual reality. The reason I chose to take LIS 500 was because I wanted to learn more about the connection humans and technology have in relation to race, class, and gender.

Interests

  • Information Science : After taking the course LIS 407: Data Storytelling with Visualization, it deepened my understanding of major chart types and how to communicate data clearly, and now I'm interested in pursuing a career where I'm able to apply this skill.
  • Soccer : I enjoy playing and watching soccer. My favorite team to watch is Chelsea.
  • Music : In my free time I enjoy listening to music. My favorite artists are Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar
  • Traveling: Last spring I had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. My favorite place that I traveled to was Switzerland.

I am an Information Science major with certificates in Digital Studies and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I've always been fascinated by how technology and humans are interlinked together, and Information Science serves as the perfect bridge connecting these two worlds. This intersection is what drew me to pursue this field, as I believe understanding the relationship between people and technology is crucial for creating meaningful innovations. I chose to take LIS 500 to deepen my understanding of how race, class, and gender intersect with technology and shape our digital experiences.

Interests

  • Dance : Dance has always been a creative outlet for me. I enjoy learning different styles and how movement can express emotions and tell stories.
  • Cooking : I love experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes. It's a therapeutic activity that allows me to be creative while also practicing patience and precision.
  • Working Out : Staying active is an important part of my daily routine. I enjoy working out because it helps me stay energized, focused, and balanced.
  • Technology & Society : I'm particularly interested in how emerging technologies impact different communities and how we can create more inclusive digital spaces for everyone.
